About Us

A+Architecture is a young and dynamic architecture practice set up by Camille Bonneau and Pedro Clarke which is based between Lisbon and London.

 

Combined, we have over 15 years experience working with both public and private sector clients on projects that range from residential, refurbishment, hotels, cultural and community, infrastructure led-projects, education, to public realm and commercial developments.

André graduated with a Masters in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto in 2019, having also previously studied at the Universitat de Girona in Spain.

 

During his studies André worked at Anarchlab in Porto, as well as at a Trading Company linked to the construction field in Angola and Mozambique, where he gained experience in housing, refurbishment and commercial projects.

 

After graduating, André worked at MakeConcept in Porto for two years, where he helped develop various projects, ranging from collective housing to private residential, as well as refurbishments and restaurants. He also gained experience in site coordination.

 

André joined A+Architecture at the start of 2020.

Camille is a French trained Architect who graduated from ENSAPB (l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris Belleville) in 2008 with a Master in Architecture, having also studied at AHO (Arkitektur Høgskollen i Oslo), in Norway. In 2014 Camille registered with the ARB (Architect’s Registration Board) in the UK, after successfully completing the RIBA (Royal Institute British Architects) Part III examination at the London Metropolitan University.​

Between 2008-09 Camille worked at Lund&Hagem in Oslo, Norway, where amongst other projects she integrated the winning team for the international design competition for the Deichman Library. Camille has also worked with award winning practices in London, such as ARUP Associates, Claridge Architects and Landolt&Brown, where she gained extensive experience in both public and private sectors with schemes delivered through a wide ranged of procurement routes. Camille has extensive experience in various sectors including residential, commercial, hotels, student housing, masterplanning and infrastructure led projects and is used to deliver schemes from initial conception to final completion that meet individual needs on time and on cost.

Following up on private commissions and various other opportunities, Camille joined A+Architecture in 2015 where she took up a role as a Director/Principal Architect.

Mária is a Slovak architect who graduated from the Czech Technical University, in Prague, in 2018 with a Masters in Architecture, having also studied in the University of Lisbon, in Portugal, and Slovak Technical University, in Bratislava.

 

During her studies, Mária worked as an intern at Studio Rauch in Munich. After graduating, she continued at the same office as a Junior Architect for one year, working on multiple family housing projects.

 

Mária joined A+Architecture in mid-2020.

Pedro is a registered Architect in both Portugal and the UK. He graduated from FAUP (Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto) in 2007 and also holds a Master Degree in Development and Emergency Practice from Oxford Brookes University. In 2014 he was selected for the Official Portuguese representation to the 14th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia.

Following his graduation in 2007 Pedro worked for RRA - Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter, in Oslo, Norway on projects for private houses as well as public buildings. In 2009, he returned to Lesotho, where he had previously worked for Article 25 in 2007, to set up with Camille Bonneau the Capital Project Design and Sustainability Department for Sentebale, a UK/Lesotho charity set up by Prince Harry. Back in the UK in late 2010, Pedro worked for several award winning London practices, such as Penoyre & Prasad and Lyall, Bills & Young mainly on residential, mixed-use, and educational projects.

Although Pedro and Camille had been collaborating formally, and informally, since 2007 Pedro set up A+Architecture in early 2014 to focus on a growing number of projects.

Beatriz graduated with a Masters in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon in 2019, having also studied in the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), in Hungary.

​

After graduating, Beatriz worked at Palácio do Grilo for six months, where she took part in different phases of the project for the reconversion of an historical building into a hotel facility.

​

During her studies, and until now, Beatriz joined ESN (Erasmus Student Network), the largest international student organisation in Europe, providing support to international students, as a volunteer, where she was part of the National Board of Directors in Portugal for two years, and the International General Assembly Chair.

​

Beatriz joined A+Architecture in mid-2020.

António completed his Masters in Architecture and Urbanism in ISCTE-IUL in 2020, where he got interested on sustainability and ecology matter.

 

During his studies he collaborated  at the Roberto Oliveira studio and after at Multiconsult, Gomes de Menezes, Arquitetos, where he gained experience with housing and refurbishment projects.

 

Besides Architecture, António participates in several workshops and competitions on the design, architecture, photography and drawings fields. Since 2015 he is part of the Miratecartes Artists Association, which organises artistic and cultural events, but he is also part of the artists group Arte Viva, creating different events that involve all arts.

 

António joined A+Architecture in August 2021.
