VENICE BIENNALE - RURAL

Évora, Portugal - Venice, Italy| 2014

In 2014 Pedro was selected to integrate the Official Portuguese Representation at the XIV International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale in Venice. The representation, curated by Pedro Campos Costa, intended not only to take Portugal to Venice, but bring Venice to Portugal.

As Architect/Editor in charge of Rural Architecture Pedro organised Alentejo, Espaço Rural which was an open invitation to local people to take part, and create a new space and memory, confronting their work with photos from the Local Authority Archives. This was a low-cost exhibition and we employed traditional bill posting techniques.
