SANTO AMARO

The refurbishment of this Ground Floor flat at Rua de Santo Amaro in Lisbon involved opening up the existing inner bedroom to make an open plan living/cooking eating space, and creating two double bedrooms facing the back of the site.

​

This division between the public/entertainment part of the flat, and the more quiet/sleep/private areas is accentuated by the creation of a modern kitchen in which a 'secret' pivot door gives access to the bedroom corridor.

 

As space was a serious constraint, all side doors feeding off the corridor are full height sliding doors.
