The Rua do Cruzeiro project was the conversion of a commercial unit (ex-architects office) into a double bedroom flat with an additional study room.

A low-cost project we opted for exposing the existing concrete ceilings and columns throughout the circulation and main living spaces, whilst creating a more private and domestic environment for the new bedroom, bathroom and study areas.

The existing brickwork partitions were demolished and new lightweight plasterboard walls with shadow gaps details (for doors and ceilings) help make a distinction between the existing fabric and the new spaces.
