This project was the result of a week long workshop to design a concept for new offices/leadership centre for Sentebale, in order to create a bid for a potential donor. As there was no site being proposed we focused our design in creating three independent- interconnected spaces for each of the organisations (Sentebale, Letsema and the Leadership Centre). This concept was centred around the re-interpretation of a traditional Basotho village and especially the role that the Phitso or Khotla occupy as a centre for village/office interaction. In terms of materials, we were proposing to explore using locally sourced sandstone offcuts to fill gabion walls.
