The success or failure of the fight against Malaria comes from community buy in and participation. Whilst bed-nets and other importable solutions provide vital defenses against infection the real gains in this fight are to be sought in low cost-tech options which can help build a healthier and more united community.Instead of proposing a generic design solution our approach to this competition was to offer to facilitate a community consultation workshop, in which the needs and opportunities could be established. Once that was done and through a participative process we believe that simple solutions could then be adapted to better suit the needs of each individual family.
