A+Architecture is a young and dynamic architecture practice set up by Camille Bonneau and Pedro Clarke which is based between Lisbon and London.

Combined, we have over 15 years experience working with both public and private sector clients on projects that range from residential, refurbishment, hotels, cultural and community, infrastructure led-projects, education, to public realm and commercial developments.

Camille Bonneau

Camille is a French trained Architect who graduated from ENSAPB (l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris Belleville) in 2008 with a Master in Architecture, having also studied at AHO (Arkitektur Høgskollen i Oslo), in Norway. In 2014 Camille registered with the ARB (Architect’s Registration Board) in the UK, after successfully completing the RIBA (Royal Institute British Architects) Part III examination at the London Metropolitan University.

Between 2008-09 Camille worked at Lund&Hagem in Oslo, Norway, where amongst other projects she integrated the winning team for the international design competition for the Deichman Library. Camille has also worked with award winning practices in London, such as ARUP Associates, Claridge Architects and Landolt&Brown, where she gained extensive experience in both public and private sectors with schemes delivered through a wide ranged of procurement routes. Camille has extensive experience in various sectors including residential, commercial, hotels, student housing, masterplanning and infrastructure led projects and is used to deliver schemes from initial conception to final completion that meet individual needs on time and on cost.

Following up on private commissions and various other opportunities, Camille joined A+Architecture in 2015 where she took up a role as a Director/Principal Architect.

Pedro Clarke

Pedro is a registered Architect in both Portugal and the UK. He graduated from FAUP (Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto) in 2007 and also holds a Master in Development and Emergency Practice from Oxford Brookes University. In 2014 he was selected for the Official Portuguese representation to the 14th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia.

Following his graduation in 2007 Pedro worked for RRA - Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter, in Oslo, Norway on projects for private houses as well as public buildings. In 2009, he returned to Lesotho, where he had worked for Article 25 in 2007, to set up with Camille Bonneau the Capital Project Design and Sustainability Department for Sentebale, a UK/Lesotho charity set up by Prince Harry. Back in the UK in late 2010, Pedro worked for several award winning London practices, such as Penoyre&Prasad and Lyall, Bills & Young mainly on residential, mixed-use, and educational projects.

Although Pedro and Camille had been collaborating formally, and informally, since 2007 Pedro set up A+Architecture in early 2014 to focus on a growing number of projects.

Who we are

What we do

We offer full architectural services from early project conception and site identification to planning application, preparing documentation and running the tender process, continuous support during the construction stages, to post-occupancy evaluation and consultancy.

Through our excellent network of engineers and contractors, with whom we often collaborate, we can provide, if required, a combined architecture and engineering services package, or even an all-included full design and build service.

Why work with us

We put our client’s needs at the centre of the design process and each project is unique and individually tailored to suit their requirements.

Fluent in French, Portuguese and English, our team can communicate and run your project in a language that works for you, whilst making sure at the same time that when dealing with local authorities, contractors and other parties that nothing gets lost in translation.

We have experience in working in a wide range of contexts, on projects with both big and small budgets so we can really understand the importance of delivering bespoke schemes on time and on cost.

How we work

We see architecture as an opportunity to improve the environment in which we are living, and as a way of creatively solving problems, or proposing new ideas that revolutionise the built environment regardless of scale.

Excelling in freehand sketching but also having the capacity to fully develop and coordinate designs using the latest three dimensional Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, we offer the best of both worlds responding efficiently to all different types of situations.

We believe all projects should be sustainable and aim for architectural design solutions which are respectful of their environment, easy to maintain and have low running costs.
