Located on one of Lisbon’s main avenues, this 1900s three-story building has stood empty for about 10 years.

 

The brief called for a proposal to refurbish and extend the building to create a mixed hostel accommodation and short-let rental units to cater for an ever growing tourism market. 

​

The existing façade is incredibly rich in detail and our proposal aims to add two stories in a modern yet respectful way to complement existing fabric. 

​

The initial project has been approved by Portugal's listed building department (DGPC) and Lisbon's Local Council.
